    General Campus Tours


    You will be guided through our beautiful campus by one of our student tour guides. During this 90-minute guided tour, our tour guides will:   

    ·       Showcase a variety of buildings.  

    ·       Provide information on residence and meal plans.  

    ·       Discuss student life at McMaster.  

    ·       Answer your questions about becoming a future Marauder.  

    Please note, our tours are intended to cover general information. Program-specific tours are offered by the Faculty of Science (Science Tours ( - and the Faculty of Engineering (Visit McMaster Faculty of Engineering | Faculty of Engineering).


    Our In-Person Campus Tours will resume on January 10, 2023. Tours will be offered at both 10:30am & 1:30pm, Tuesday to Friday – with some exceptions.

                                  (Please note: Tours will be unavailable during the week of February 20-24, 2023)

    • Tour registrations are limited to four guests per registration (1 prospective student + 3 visitors). 
    • We ask guests to limit themselves to one registration. In order to ensure we are servicing as may guests as possible, duplicate registrations may be cancelled.

    Be sure to monitor this page for any cancellations or additional slots added. New tour dates are also added on a monthly basis, 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the new month.

    If you are planning to travel to campus, but are not booked for a tour, come visit us in the Student Recruitment Office (located in Togo Salmon Hall 111). We are open Tuesdays-Fridays from 9am-4pm and can try to connect you with one of our student staff to answer any questions about student experience, or one of our Recruitment Officers to help answer any of your admissions related questions.


    COVID-19 Protocols & Procedures: 

    To come to campus, you and every member of your party must complete these important steps:  

    1. Complete the provincial Covid-19 self-assessment, if you or someone you live with has symptoms or tests positive for COVID 

    1. Stay home and cancel your tour if you do not pass the assessment 

    2. The university continues to strongly encourage our community to wear a mask when indoors or in close proximity to others while outdoors, even though masks will not be required

    While on campus, you must comply with all applicable University health, safety and environmental programs and policies. We thank you for your understanding as we keep guest, student and staff safety as our top priority.
